Turnmills — one of London's best-known and longest running nightclubs — is about to close to make room for real estate development. The sign on the out side has already been taken down.
A spokesman for Turnmills tells Evening Standard:
"As far as we are concerned our lease is still intact until any legal documents have been signed, which they haven't at this stage and the permission to develop does not mean they need vacant possession for the first phase of the building works. The long-term plan for the building and development far exceeds our existing lease. We are in negotiation with the landlords to buy us out of the remaining lease if they want to bring the development of the basement forward - which they may or may not want to do. It's very early days."

Saturday 3rd November - Rock Your Ego @ No5
No5 was so much fun last week! Some people got into the spirit of Halloween early & came in some outrageous costumes as you can see from the photograph! No5 is truly a stunning place to party, sometimes I feel like i'm in someones mansion, I know those of you that have been will know what I mean! Friday 2nd November @ Pangaea
GLM continues to rock the end of the week with one of the most darling crowds around. Rocked by many an international DJ, international designer and celebrity party, the start of the month heralds the return of One Night in Rio.
